3 Easy DIY Ribbon Sunglasses Storage & Display Organizers That Fit Every Aesthetic BBCrafts.com

Well, sunglasses are essential accessories for sunny days and if you’re fond of them as much as I do, you probably have a lot of different pairs. I have a tendency to forget them at kitchen countertops and other spaces, yet I don’t want to turn my favorite sunnies into clutter. Not only this, I always used to put my house keys, lenses, and other small things anywhere in the home and end up with the inconvenience.

After weeks of complaining to myself about untidy habits, I grabbed some craft items and decided to create handmade sunglasses storage and display organizer to solve my problem. And I am a bit surprised that it took very little time and effort, all you need the right craft materials and tools to create something extraordinary. Don’t believe what I say, see the result for yourself and try to bring out your creative side.

1. Sunglasses Organizer Shelf

I have a bunch of left-over ribbons at home. Although I associate them with gift wrapping mostly, I decided to reuse those bits and pieces to craft a sunglass organizer. Let’s take a look at the tutorial:

Material You Will Need:

  • Wooden plaque
  • A sheet of suede leather trim
  • Ribbons
  • Paint brushes
  • Glue

Instructions:

Step 1 – Cut 3 pieces of a wood stick in equal dimensions. They should approximately measure 1 inch by 7 inches. These will work as a divider in a storage box.

Step 2 – Take the leather sheet to make a durable back for your display case. Cut it and keep it aside for later.

Step 3 – Paint the display box, dividers, and dowel pieces. I picked white as a base and customized the look of my display case using animal ribbons. I placed ribbons of fancy prints on the inside, outside, and on the edges.

Step 4 – Secure the ribbons and leather properly with glue. Now insert the created dividers (approx. 2.75 inches), place them with super glue, and don’t forget to hold them for about 30 seconds.

Step 5 - Now drill two equidistant holes, use a thread or leather ribbon to hang it carefully on the wall. And your very own sunglasses shelf is ready. Hurray!

2. Sunglass Storage and Display Organizer

To organize my sunglasses, car keys, and other small items, I also made creative sunglass storage and display organizer with a wooden frame and ribbon crafts. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial below.

What You Will Need:

  • Stylish fabrics
  • Colorful ribbons
  • Wooden frame
  • Hot glue

Instructions:

Step 1 – Take a durable wooden frame and cut it into a big rectangular shape in roughly 10-12 inches measurement.

Step 2 – You can place a fabric or leather strap at the back to achieve the ideal support for a display case.

Step 3 – Now take a classy lace ribbon and place it parallel to each other in a frame.

Step 4 – It’s time to secure your ribbons well with hot glue. I picked subtle ivory and white colors for my display case, but you can opt for bright and bold colors, whatever you’d prefer.

Step 5 – You can drill a hole to hang it on the wall. You can also use threats and decorative accents to make it more pleasing to the eye. You can create both storage and style for sunglasses, keys, and other items in less than an hour.

3. Sunglasses Organizer and Holder

I have recently made a DIY sunglass holder and organizer to hang it over my dresser, front door of my closet, and even a vanity table. Here’s a simple tutorial for you:

Supplies You Will Need:

  • Wooden board
  • Hot glue
  • Ribbons
  • Scissors
  • D-ring picture hangers
  • Paint
  • Threads and rhinestones

Instructions:

Step 1 – Prepare a wooden board, drill the holes and mark the areas with a pen or pencil where you want to place your D-ring picture hangers.

Step 2 – Apply double coats of paint onto the board, let it dry, and set D-ring picture hangers.

Step 3 – I picked a red satin ribbon to enhance its beauty and tied it at the back of the board. You can also write anything you’d like such as ‘incognito’ or ‘good vibes only’ for a whimsy look.

Step 4 – I also placed rhinestones from my nose ring and thread pieces for an elegant flair. (Optional)

Step 5 – Last but not least, hang the organizer and display your sunglasses and other things beautifully.
