Supplies Needed for Making Your Own Advent Calendar with Fabric and Ribbon:
- 3-inch-wide Ribbon

- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
- Straight Pins
- Sewing Machine
- Sewing Needle and thread
- Buttons
- Tree branch
- Twine (or substitute with more ribbon if you like!)
Instructions:
Step 1:
Start by cutting the base of the wall hanging for measuring 14-inch-wide x 42-inch long. If you are going to use a burlap for this DIY, make sure to keep the edges frayed. For ensuring the burlap doesn’t over-unknot, you can run two lengths of straight stitches about half an inch from the edge. Twitch away at the slack burlap yarn.
Step 2:
After completing your first step, start to cut the ribbon into 16-inch-long strips to make the pocket of your calendar.
Step 3:
After that, cut three more lengths of ribbon into 9-inch-long strips. These will style the loops for the tree branch for dangling form.
Step 4:
Then cut 25 lengths of twine to 6-inch long. After cutting them, fold each piece in half and knot at the mid-point. These loops will help you to make the button toggles.
Step 5:
Now, mark the settlement of ties on each of seven pieces of 16-inch ribbon. Make sure, four lengths of ribbon will have four ties on them and three pieces will have three toggles. Space the tie about 3.5-inch apart on each length of ribbon. Pin in dwelling and sew to ribbon.
Step 6:
In this step, start to position one of the ribbons with four toggles at the base of the calendar, one inch from the bottom. After that, place the second ribbon with three toggles at 3-inch left from the first ribbon. Endure substituting between ribbons pieces with three and four toggles layout 3-inch apart.
Step 7:
Now, you can stitch along the bottom edge of each ribbon row. You can stitch vertical section from pocket at 1 ¾-inch from the toggle position. And then you should warp ribbon ends around the back and stitch in place.
Step 8:
With the help of a gold metallic pen, write the numbers 1-25 on the pockets in order or randomly. And then hand sew buttons in place. You can use some old mismatched buttons by updating them with silver metallic spray paint.
Step 9:
After that, fold the three 9-inch ribbon strips in half and attach them to the top of the calendar by equally placing them away from the top edge. You can run a tree branch all three loops and tie a long piece of twine to the ends for hanging.
Now, you can hang your own advent calendar on the wall and add candies or treats inside each one of the pockets.
By following the above-mentioned steps, you can make your own advent calendar. You can find a reliable weeding and craft product supplier for buying grosgrain ribbon, burlap ribbon, tulle fabric, satin fabric, chair cover, tablecloth, and many others at wholesale prices.
